Number 10 Meaning In Tarot
All tens, including the Ten of Wands, Ten of Pentacles and Ten of Swords indicate a climax as events come to a head. As Cups represent matters of the heart, the Ten of Cups heralds events which deliver deep emotional contentment. That is why this card often turns up for marriage, children or buying a family home.
The number 10 is connected with a feeling of ‘wholeness’ and being at one with destiny. Sometimes however, destiny is not all love and light. Destiny can sometimes be tough, as indicated by the 10 of Swords or 10 of Wands. However, in this case, there is no need to worry. The Ten of Cups says you can relax and let your hair down.

Ten of Cups Description
This description is based on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck. We see a family of four in a rural setting, celebrating the rainbow of ten cups. The rainbow is a traditional sign of good luck and you may even find a pot of gold at the end of it. This card feels like the promised land, a place where peace and contentment thrives. What we see here is a family content with their standard of living and lifestyle. There is no big vulgar house or other trappings of wealth. What price this card asks, can one really put on love, health and pollution free air?

TIMING: Does The 10 of Cups Predict any Particular Timeframe?
🕔 The Ten of Cups is only a timing indication when you specifically asked a timeframe question. For example, if you want to know if something will happen, and when, then you need to draw two separate cards. These are in fact, two separate questions. This is a fundamental principle to understand if you want an accurate tarot reading – and it is core to my teaching in my book Tarot in 5 Minutes.
🕔 Using my timing method, the 10 of Cups is about 10 months. If the card is reversed, timing will be slightly longer – so up to 15 months.
Karina’s Timing Method:
Swords are days. Wands are weeks. Cups are months and Pentacles are years. Please note this is my personal timing method. Feel free to adopt it (or not).
