Act quickly before you miss an opportunity

What is The Spiritual Meaning of a Wasp Sting?

Have you been stung by a wasp and wondered what it means?

If so, you’ll know that a wasp sting can be fairly painful, and the experience may even leave you wondering if it’s a bad omen.

When a wasp stings you, it is a sign that you are not paying attention to their message.

One of the three messages below will apply to you – but there is more urgency in the message, if a wasp has resorted to stinging you. If you don’t act soon, you may miss an opportunity.

Note: I was stung by a yellow jacket wasp, which prompted me to write this page which I had been putting off doing for a while! It fell down the back of my shorts and stung me on the butt. It was saying – get your butt in gear!

ANIMAL FETISH: A fetish is a small charm made of stone, wood or bone which is carved or painted into the shape of an animal. Similar to a talisman or amulet, it carries the teachings of the animal and brings protection. If you wish to draw on the spirit energy of an animal or insect, then carry a fetish with their image.

3 Spiritual Meanings of Wasps

Here are the three main spiritual meanings of wasps.

1. Act quickly

Note: If you asked – What is the spiritual meaning of a wasp in the house? – This message is especially right for you.

The wasp guides you to act quickly before you miss an opportunity. Whatever dream you have – whether it’s related to money, work or a personal project – now is the time to get busy working on it. Simply wishing is not enough at this point. The wasp guides you to break down your dream into smaller goals or tasks, and tick each task off as you complete it. The time for day-dreaming is over, now is the time to act. If you leave it too much longer, the momentum will pass.

2. Accept the offer

An opportunity or offer lies before you now – or soon will. The wasp encourages you to accept the offer and jump in with enthusiasm. Go for it, even if you’re not sure how things will turn out. You have been waiting for ‘change’, and this is the Universe’s answer to your prayers.

3. Break out of your routines

If you have been going through a period of stagnation, where it feels like nothing much has been happening, the wasp urges you to do something – anything, to break up your routine. Take a trip somewhere. Do a workshop on something. Take up a new hobby. Apply for a new job. Instead of waiting for something to happen to you, be the instigator of change. Just get the ball rolling, and momentum will naturally gather pace.

What Does it Say in The Bible About Wasps?

“Then I sent the hornet before you and it drove out the two kings of the Amorites from before you, but not by your sword or your bow.”

Joshua 24:12

There are many references in the Bible to hornets, which are a type of wasp, slightly larger than the common wasp known as yellow jackets.

Hornets are used by the spirit world to trigger action. They are sent into places to instigate sudden change in the status quo. No-one can relax when hornets appear!

Hornets, or wasps, are not ‘evil’. Rather, they are seen as servants of God used to create a particular outcome. Not all tools of change are pleasant. In Tarot, for example, the Tower card predicts an unlucky event, but this event is often necessary in order to redirect a person to the right path.

What Does it Mean When You Dream of Wasps?

When you dream of wasps, particularly if there is a danger of the wasps stinging you, it means: You are experiencing lucid dreaming.

Lucid dreaming is a special form of dream. It is where you become aware in a dream, that you are dreaming. The dream suddenly becomes very real, as you simultaneously have access to two states of consciousness – being sort of awake but still dreaming.

Lucid dreaming can happen quite spontaneously, but unless you are aware that you are experiencing a lucid dream, you may dismiss the experience. The wasp is a symbol or warning sign to say ‘hey, this is a lucid dream.’

Why is the wasp warning you about lucid dreaming?

Because lucid dreams contain messages from the spirit world and your spirit guides. The wasp signals you should pay more attention to those particular dreams. Once you have one lucid dream, you are more likely to experience more. Lucid dreaming can also open the door to astral projection, bilocation and dream telepathy.
